About the Data Analytics Program

In this fully virtual 20-week program you will learn the fundamentals of database management, data analysis, data visualization, and cloud operations. All you need is a reliable internet connection and access to a computer! Working at your own pace and your own schedule, you will become versed in SQL, Python, Cybersecurity and AWS while building the skills necessary to find work in this exciting field. You will also have access to our job search and workplace productivity courses, which will help you to understand the tech sector, and learn the best practices to begin your career in tech.

All of our technical program content is delivered in pre-recorded video courses via Pluralsight which includes hands-on, practice content for real world application. This program is a great fit for you if you love to learn online, are self-motivated, have a knack for math and technology, and can dedicate 10+ hours a week to the program.

To be eligible for our programs you must be 18 years or older and have completed a high school GED or equivalent. You must also be a resident of Nova Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island.

What You'll Learn

Data analytics concepts

How to obtain useful data to analyze and manipulate when creating and maintaining databases. These courses will help establish key data analytics concepts and thinking processes at a business and enterprise level. 

Database management
The vast majority of applications that use data are backed by a good relational database system. These courses will help to establish a base to those looking to begin learning Structured Query Language (SQL).
Programming languages
Python is a high-level, general-purpose programming language that emphasizes code readability. In this path you will learn the basics of Python and more advanced topics such as object-oriented design and code organization.
Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) helps to build a solid foundation of cybersecurity domains and concepts needed to be successful in a cybersecurity role. The topics covered are:
  • Security Principles
  • Business Continuity (BC), Disaster Recovery (DR), & Incident Response Concepts
  • Access Control Concepts
  • Network Security
  • Security Operations
Cloud Operations
You’ll become an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner – This program includes the four key areas covered by this certification including cloud concepts, security and compliance, technology, and billing and pricing. The information and resources learned here will be vital in preparing to take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam.

Certification in Cybersecurity (ISC - CC)

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

Earning AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner validates cloud fluency and foundational AWS knowledge.
